because i've been loving watching 'em. because i thought this movie was a bad idea when i first heard about it. and because i had no idea that jack black was involved--and after watching , i think he's a perfect fit. he's does his thing as real, sincere and uniquely as bill murray. damn i love those guys.
mp3 players: one maker less
rio, one of the first portable mp3 player manufacturers, announced today that it will no longer be selling portable digital music players. the has more information on their future plans--something about networked home electronics (whatever that means) and boston acoustics (they bought the speaker company a while back). while being one of the top companies in this field, i still don't know anyone who has one of their products, a testament to the dominance of the ipod. personally, i think a name change would be a good next move.

reebok shares soared in after hours trading upon this evening's news that . not only affecting cross-town rival nike (both adidas and nike have us hq's in portland oregon), the ramifications stretch into the music world as well.
The possible transaction would bring together two impressive stables of athletes and entertainment endorsers. English soccer star David Beckham and rap artist Missy Elliott are under contract to Adidas.
Reebok in February launched the "I am what I am" marketing campaign, which features pitches from celebrity entertainers and athletes in an effort to draw younger buyers who regard sneakers as high fashion.
