worst thing imagineable, ever, period!
sammy 'he wears sunglasses all the time to hide his soulless inner-self or the chosen one to destroy all good music forever ' hagar has formed a new band. chickenfoot. guess who's in the band? satriani, friggin chaz smith from rhcp and poor michael anthony, the only one with an ounce of talent. in an interview hagar the clown is quoted as saying they are as good as led zeppelin, that they could rival zep... god i cant wait to see this band live. chaz smith with his backwards hooters baseball hat and copenhagen packed lip, satriani with his weird alien lookin bald head and mock turtle neck t-shirt, sunburnt and adventure sandal wearing sammy, and michael anthony trying to hide behind his jack daniels bass which is the only device that will save them. experience the entire nightmare
thanks OZ

jeremiah green drum breaks 7inch = rad
this image is from the imputor site. that is not my hand nor my copy of the record. but you get the idea.
the record comes in handmade packaging (each one is different) and is a limited edition pressing of 300 copies. i suggest you buy it if you see it at one of the stores that's carrying it or pick it up directly from , the label that put it out.
there are mp3 samples of all four tracks from the record on the imputor site. i'm reposting one of them here so that hype machine will pick up this post. ;)

wants for sale goes to vegas
today, they launched a great series of paintings called "vegas vacation," which includes pieces like "to see showgirls" ($201.40) and "to fly home" ($488.50).
We've painted everything from the flights, the hotel room, showgirls, all-you-can-eat buffets and, of course, lots of gamblin' money. Our buyers can even get in on the action with "$1000 to Bet on Black." If we hit it we'll give the buyer of the painting $500 back.

there's no way it's that many!
artist chris hansen created an installation last year of collected images that are pretty amazing. depressing and beautiful and very insightful. i'll let chris describe them:
This series looks at contemporary American culture through the austere lens of statistics. Each image portrays a specific quantity of something: fifteen million sheets of office paper (five minutes of paper use); 106,000 aluminum cans (thirty seconds of can consumption) and so on. My hope is that images representing these quantities might have a different effect than the raw numbers alone, such as we find daily in articles and books. Statistics can feel abstract and anesthetizing, making it difficult to connect with and make meaning of 3.6 million SUV sales in one year, for example, or 2.3 million Americans in prison, or 410,000 paper cups used every fifteen minutes. This project visually examines these vast and bizarre measures of our society, in large intricately detailed prints assembled from thousands of smaller photographs. The underlying desire is to emphasize the role of the individual in a society that is increasingly enormous, incomprehensible, and overwhelming.
