this is awesome. do you know if the refugee families benefit in any way (financially) from the marathon? is there a charitable or fundraising aspect to it?
Hi, there is a charitable aspect to the marathon. The organisers have a development programe which is there to help the infrastructure of the camp. The project from last year was to build sports facilities as there is nothing for people or the children to do in the camps. Peoples lives seem pretty hum drum. the web address is www.saharamarathon.org
