poor lady sovereign lost her voice last night!
my cousin went to go see lady sovereign at the el rey in LA last night. but poor lady S-O-VEEEE lost her voice and could only get through 2.5 songs, before breaking down and crying. there's something real sad and cute and sweet about that. here are some documenting the night.

seriously though... she was all sucka- stylee and crying about the sound system, while coming through weak on the mic for her sf show too... talking about how she can't perform under such conditions... which was probably just been a cover up for her lack of a voice (because she sounded awful).
I don't hate the chick, and I'm not exercising hipster backlash but...

the el rey show was HORRIBLE. she should at least have the dignity to fuck over a sold out show without crying.

The El Rey show was sad. I was right in front and could hear her hacking and wheezing. She lost her voice, she kept trying to sing and nothing was coming out and then she got frustrated and started to cry. I don't know how not being any make any noise come out of your mouth is fucking everybody over. Your ticket will be honored for a makeup show. Jeez. Tough crowd. I'd rather see someone cry that pull an Ashley Simpson and try and bullshit your lipsyncing ass out of it by blaming your band. That breakdown was sad, but raw and real.
you guys are beng too harsh i mean she was only trying so hard to give the adience what they came for. imean woundnt you b frustraed if oyou voice just shut down while you were performing/give her a brake already she try and it just didnt work!
