plastic bertrand

is a dutch fellow who made fast poppy punk songs in the 80s. singing in french, he had a big hit in europe called "ca plane pour moi". the song was featured in the classic film . i think it's during the part when the griswolds go shopping after having their bags stolen. good stuff.

listen to:
plastic betrand "le petit tortillard"
plastic betrand "ca plane pour moi"

I would love to hear again, "Stop ou Encore", if you run across it. Great post. Thanks.

Ca Plane Pour Moi sounds like a cover of Elton Motello's Jet Boy, Jet girl

Apparently "Ca Plane" uses the same backing track as "Jet Boy," or something to that effect. I read about it last year. It'd be interesting to hear a comparison.

Elton Motello recorded the original version of "Ca Plane Pour Moi".
It's called "Jet Boy Jet Girl".
And yes, Plastic Bertrand used Elton Motello's backing track when he recorded "Ca Plane Pour Moi".
However, Lou Deprijck claims that he is the one who REALLY sings on the French track. Not Roger Jouret (a k a Plastic Bertrand).
