actually it's style that obviously originates from russian traditional dancing..and a tiny bit like the pogo dance which may remind some of certain skinhead movements
Personally I cant see this "awesome" dance craze catching on. The lack of girls does kind of make me wonder. Do you think girls would dance like that is they "found out" about it? I can't see any girls on the homepage of the jumpfreakz site.
I mean that dance doesn't really seem to have much to it, it could probably do with some variation but its "new" so maybe it'll get better over time. It looks a bit like toprocking (the bit of breakdancing you do standing up) but no where near as good.
As for the person that used the IRA as an example of how Europeans still "blow shit up", the IRA disarmed within the last few months and have vowed to stop all activity. Americans aren't exactly the best for not starting wars. But lets not get that in the way of this amazing new dance form.

They can call it jumping or jump dance if they want but what it is is basically "Kick Step" popularized in the late 80's and early 90's by Kid N Play.

omg please don't let this stuff spread! i'm from belgium myself and i have to say i'm deeply ashamed by the people 'dancing' like this. you always see a couple at parties, luckily i've never seen a whole mass, it's usually just a small group. it just looks incredibly stupid, and it's mostly showoffs who claim they're "good" at it. i'm not saying any of this out of jealousy, because i've tried dancing like this myself (as a thruth or dare thing) and friends said i was actually quite "good", if there is such a thing, but i couldn't help feeling incredibly stupid and silly while doing so. anyways, just to say that 1) it's not really that impressive and 2) this is not representative for belgium ;)

I am 24 years old and from belgium. This jump dance is only done by
A) 11year olds etc in search of their identity
B) older people stuck in the mental phase of 11year olds.
please dont give this so much attention, as you might know this only stimulates these kids
meh this craze is almost over, give it half a year and already something new is "cool" here (in belgium). Maybe then it will fly over to the US ;)
did i mention that it's actually ridiculous and only done by people under 20?
At least the first video (on street) is not from Belgium but from Estonia. I'm not native myself, but I can surely hear them speaking some Estonian, and also the environment looks more like Eastern Europe than something like Belgium.

a masked person on the tv show "so you think you can dance" did a "jump style" routine... i just thought it was stupid, but no its an actual style
the 2047 war between belgium and the u.s. will settle this once and for all. all europeans are gay and start wars. NO americans are gay. and we only started the civil war 0f 1911 which was for a good cause.

It's actually quite hard to do and, while you do feel silly doing it, it's a physical challenge. If people want to bounce to a beat, you can't really stop them. :P
