this kid started playing drums at age 2. he’s about 11 now. this video shows him playing through the years. it’s just a little bit frustrating.

i’m with the other anonymous guy. the parents just effed this kid out of career by letting him play with amazing douchebags. way to end your kids career before it starts, not to mention wasting his enormous amounts inherent ability… kudos mom and pops.

Yeah, because every artist starts their career with top notch bands, and not with some lame cover-song groups playing in sleazy nightclubs. At least he got the bad part out of the way early.

ive been playing all sorts of music on all sorts of instruments for years, and if you think anyone can make it by without ever playing with douchebags, then you are seriously jaded.
You have to wonder how the kid would have turned out without the drums though…

Couldn’t spot any earplugs in any of those shots – the kid can thank his watchful parents when he’s deaf at 13 years old.

First thing I noticed is the lack of ear protection at age 2. Not much iPhone enjoyment in this kids future.
boohoo he didn’t have earplugs. the kid’s a drummer not a piano tuner. and start crying to the parents of the drummer of your favorite band next time you turn it up a little bit. jesus christ.
holy crap the kid is doing well! and in regard to the hearing protection comments – yeah, it would have been best if he’d been using plugs all this time, but a lot of us grew up playing like this from a young age and didn’t have it. I do suffer a slight amount of hearing loss after over 20 years of playing with no protection (before I started using plugs), and I do wish I’d worn some, but let’s not blow it out of proportion and become a bunch of nitpicky little nutsacks here. Maybe you’ve seen the pictures of Jimi Hendrix standing in the back row of whatever band that was. This is a cool kid. It takes about that long to be an expert, and I hope he sticks with it, though I’d be surprised if he finds musicians at his level to play with. And it’s going to be tough getting through school if he already knows what he wants to do. Won’t be much point.

Its just a promotional hype for the band mindwalk or whatever they were ccalled, I know 11 year olds who can play more than one instrument. This kdis just lucky cause he got dad to film him.

Holy Shit he’s good. My kids are 5 and 2, one plays guitar a little. Got to get the other one started on drums. And yes they have ear plugs. My father lost his hearing. I wonder where that kid is now???? THE NEXT JOHN BOTTOM!!!!
what makes possibly being the next picasso better than possibly being the next best drummer ever? as someone who’s gotten the most joy in life by playing drums for the last 19 years, i take offense to these criticisms.
this kid is awesome, and i’m going to start my child as early as possible if he or she shows interest. if not, oh well, we can try other forms of art. if so, then drum away little one!
