junk mail, the paper kind.
yesterday when came home and pick up the mail all 11 pieces were junk, all went straight in the recycle bin. they have the for your telephone, is there one for unwanted postal mail? yes there is, these are the two of the best that i found. both claim to reduce junk mail by around 90%.
offer 3 levels of payment $3/month + credit card fees, $36/year or $360 lifetime membership. They will also plant a tree on your behalf ever month.
is a little simpler. for $41.00 it covers your entire household for 5 years, in addition half the profits from each sale go to not for profit organizations such as environmental organizations, local schools and youth groups.
i'm still undecided myself as to which company to use, but i definitely want to put an end to all the junk mail that is coming to my house.

I have been looking for something like this. Thanks Sneakmove.
Hi Sneakmove,
Jill at GreenDimes here. Thanks for blogging about junk mail, the paper kind. As you probably figured out from our site, we think helping people reduce their junk mail is key! Not only does it reduce the amount of sorting, shredding, and recycling you have to do, it gives you more time, more counter space and more trees. So, thanks for spreading the word!
In terms of how GreenDimes works, your membership includes removing your name and four other names (these might be other household residents, other spellings of your name, or even former residents) from direct mail lists, unsolicited credit card offers, and even selected catalogs (btw you can keep the catalogs you do want - just tell us which ones you want stopped.)
The nice thing is that by signing up with GreenDimes, you only have to fill out one form and we do the rest, and we plant a tree for you every month. In just a few cases where companies require a signature, we'll send you a stamped postcard to sign and drop in the mail. Hopefully there will be fewer of these in the future.
The other thing about GreenDimes, is that is really a lifestyle option where we help you do little things that make your life and the planet better. Reducing junk is our first initiative, but in the near future, we plan on making members' dimes work even harder by providing more benefits and more causes for your dimes to support.
Thanks again! Questions/comments are always welcome. Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Jill Finlayson
