InI and pete rock

anyone remember InI and their song ? it’s a production. not suprisingly, the best part about it is the beat. Worthy of note: this is the 1000th song with the line “slammin’ sh#t like onyx.” 1996. interscope records.

i always liked this song. not that Rob-O or Pete really had any chemistry…I think it was mostly the beats.

I did a remix of this song many moons ago when I couldn’t master for sh!t and still thought Lonnie Smith had the best breaks on earth.

wow! that’s dope. the chorus is reeeal nice. now, this is actually a good post. i was feeling kinda so-so about it prior to your comment.

it was a good post before my remix!

For what it’s worth, probably one of my favorite pete rock tracks of all time is “Think Twice.” with the Axelrod loop. Up until about 2001, when they reissued/bootlegged Center Of Attention about 15 times, this white label was one of my biggest wants. When I found someone willing to part with it, I was super pissed because it didn’t have the instrumental and was essentially a mixshow radio bootleg.

I always loved this and Eddie Vic’s remix. Most of the InI white labels are pretty fresh.
