the electric company–coming to dvd

the popular children’s television program from the 70’s is in february. two only two things i really remember about the show was that it was on right after sesame street, and it had a theme song with the funkiest guitar any five year old had ever heard. i’ve been looking for that song for years– up until the very end to get a taste of what i mean, and enjoy the awesome video style and graphic design.

    Damn, that’s cool news.

    For years I carried around this picture in my wallet that I cut of of TV Guide. It was Morgan Freeman doing Speed Reader, I think, and he was holding up a sign that said, “I’m just a clown who’s feeling down.”

    So I would always say that line in my best (terrible) morgan freeman voice, and I always wanted to see the clip that it was taken from. Hopefully it made it onto one of these DVDs.

    I’m crossing my fingers for the Great Spacecoaster DVDs. Viva La Linea!
