while we’re on the subject… there’s been a lot of chatter, some of it not so great, about the upcoming film . it tells the story of ian curtis, joy division’s lead singer. a trailer appeared on youtube a few days ago. looks pretty great to me. apparently, the actors really play the songs.

you may have seen those joy division/factory records-themed shoes a few months ago. well, and they’re more evocative of the legendary label’s era. these reference the –the club in manchester which was at the center of the scene.
