because i’ve been loving watching ‘em. because i thought this movie was a bad idea when i first heard about it. and because i had no idea that jack black was involved–and after watching , i think he’s a perfect fit. he’s does his thing as real, sincere and uniquely as bill murray. damn i love those guys.

rio, one of the first portable mp3 player manufacturers, announced today that it will no longer be selling portable digital music players. the has more information on their future plans–something about networked home electronics (whatever that means) and boston acoustics (they bought the speaker company a while back). while being one of the top companies in this field, i still don’t know anyone who has one of their products, a testament to the dominance of the ipod. personally, i think a name change would be a good next move.

mostly noteworthy because of what unified fans can do. joss whedon, creator and caretaker of the buffy, angel, roswell and so forth universe (a real comic geek’s god) has a movie coming shortly called “serenity” based on the incomplete and canceled series, “firefly.” supposedly the viewer’s fervor has convinced the movie studios to produce a feature film.
