does this viral marketing make me look phat?

it seems funny, ad guy funny not chappelle funny, that is appearing as hype builds for the remaining unseen episodes of the now cancelled chappelle show.

a little detective work makes us believe that in a few days you'll know if you've/we've been spreading some corporation's messaging for free.

(thanks, and will.)

register.com informs us that this chappelle URL is registered to weblinc.com -- a high-powered online marketing companies that does brands like Calvin Klein.

viral marketing means YOU are ad, alas.

but presumably another season soon come? or maybe this is just for holidaytime DVD sales boost?

even without being forewarned that this could be a viral ad campaign, i would have had suspicions, based on the elaborate and professional design put into the site. not sure how many "retired pr execs" are doing kickass web work just to spread unfounded rumors, but i'd consider hiring this guy for some of my sites.
