i was introduced to the weird world of last night. an early 90s pop singer based in illinois, her homemade videos had the fuzzy look of local car dealership commercials from the early 80s. somehow, it is so hard to not continue watching, waiting for some indication that jan is in on the joke.
check out some of her masterpieces:
lose you tonight (surprisingly catchy, and an eerily familiar vocal production on the recording. my fave)
rock and roll santa (none of these songs really leave much to the imagination)
jan’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, and the easiest way to sum it up might be from her daily show interview a couple years ago:
just an fyi to let you know you can once again stream all the good mp3s we’ve posted on sneakmove, for your listening pleasure, just by clicking that nice “sneakmove radio” link over there in the right column.
i’m enjoying the interview by the folks at . he talks about learning of all types of music via his interest in hip-hop and shares some fave jams.
