check out rusty string deluxe, the new album by multi-instrumentalist and producer cars & trains (aka tom filepp). deluxe is an expanded version of tom’s debut and features new songs, covers (by ceschi and the harvey girls), and remixes (by boy in static, factor, radical face, and your old buddies – meanest man contest). you can download the mmc remix for free over at rcrd lbl, which calls the track a “backyard jazz party that you have to keep lo-fi so the neighbors won’t yell at you.” that works for me.
