i was introduced to the weird world of jan terri last night. an early 90s pop singer based in illinois, her homemade videos had the fuzzy look of local car dealership commercials from the early 80s. somehow, it is so hard to not continue watching, waiting for some indication that jan is in on the joke.
check out some of her masterpieces:
lose you tonight (surprisingly catchy, and an eerily familiar vocal production on the recording. my fave)
baby blues (featuring a brown-eyed hunk)
get down goblin (fun and funky)
rock and roll santa (none of these songs really leave much to the imagination)
