mumbles

in ‘97 or so i got this ubiquity records compilation called audio alchemy. there’s a great mumbles track on it. the whole darn thing is boosted from david axelrod in large pieces, but who cares… it sounds wonderful. also if you haven’t heard it, check out mumbles’ classic work on aceyalone’s a book of human language record.

that’s real weird that mumbles is doing a label now — and calling it mumbles hip-hop. this thing has a really lame cover:

what’s weird is that I don’t think that site/label/store has anything to do with the producer mumbles. it’s just a coincidence.
