wsj’s mossberg reviews the ipod nano
i’m afraid i’d sit on it or get hungry and eat it like a $250 saltine cracker, but walter mossberg gives it a steller review, even dropping it from 3 feet multiple times to test its durability. dare you to do that with yours!

update: i went to the apple store at lunch to see if these were in stock yet. a co-worker of mine was in line with one and when he got back to work i got to check it out. its ridiculous. makes the first ipod look like the size of a delivery van. so damn slick.
yeah the thing looks like it’ll snap in two with just a little pressure. i’ll probably get one tho.
Smaller? P’shaw, I say! Make it bigger! I want a 100 gig ipod that plays .ogg, with 20 hour battery life!
there has been lots of commentary by the diehard mac fans about apple’s current direction to get smaller and more publicly accessible rather than concentrating on the power user segment. its a smaller group, so i suppose the economics of it all make sense (just look at the stock chart for aapl). selfishly though, i’d rather keep things more exclusive. lets keep the virus-makers aimed towards microsoft while i quietly browse the internet in peace.
